Abstract:

Starbucks is known for pioneering social initiatives in both fair trade and sustainability. In 2007 the company also initiated a campaign to eliminate the use of rBGH, a growth hormone used to increase milk production in cattle. rBGH not only negatively effects the health of the animals, but may cause human health risks as well.
